For over two decades, Dr. Morgan Dixon has devoted her career to a simple conviction: every animal deserves compassionate, dignified care — especially in their final chapter. She brings that care directly to your living room.
Dr. Dixon began her career in emergency and critical care medicine, serving as a veterinarian since 2000 and practicing in the Charlotte area since 2008. But it was a personal experience — not a textbook — that shaped the practice she would eventually build.
In 2007, her beloved chow chow Hayle developed hind-end weakness in her older years. The surgeon and neurologist said there was nothing they could do. Unwilling to give up, Dr. Dixon explored acupuncture — a field she knew nothing about at the time.
The results were transformative. Hayle was able to resume their long walks together. Dr. Dixon witnessed firsthand how drastically acupuncture could improve quality of life. She enrolled in the acupuncture certification program at Chi University, Ocala, FL — and a calling was born.
She continued studying Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and in 2010 founded Shay Shay Veterinary Mobile — bringing holistic medicine and end-of-life care directly into the homes of families across the Charlotte and Lake Norman region.
“In 2007, my beloved chow chow Hayle, in older age, developed hind end weakness. The surgeon and neurologist said there was nothing they could do. A colleague recommended acupuncture. I knew nothing about it but kept an open mind. Hayle was able to resume our walks and I witnessed how drastically it improved her quality of life.”

“Dr. Dixon’s acupuncture treatments gave Chessie so much relief in her final months. When the time came, it was everything I hoped for — quiet, gentle, and at home. I held her the whole time. I’ll always be grateful.”
Dr. Dixon elevated Sooky’s quality of life for many months. I didn’t know what to do — Sooky was struggling and I felt so helpless. Dr. Dixon came to our home, listened to everything, and created a plan that gave us more precious time together.
The acupuncture was the most effective treatment Petey received through his entire illness. I was terrified we’d run out of options — but Dr. Dixon brought a whole new approach right to our living room. Petey was so much calmer at home
