Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the ancient practice that involves inserting thin, sterile needles into specific points on the body to stimulate the flow of energy called Qi. This helps balance the body’s systems, promote self-healing, and alleviate pain and discomfort. Acupuncture can be used to treat any condition, has no side effects in the hands of an experienced practitioner, has been practiced for thousands of years, and is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) for its therapeutic benefits.

Herbal Medicine

TCVM herbal medicine uses natural plants, roots and minerals to create powerful remedies. Capsules by mouth or powder mixed with food are given daily. Dr. Dixon orders herbals from Jing Tang Herbal, a GMP Certified facility located at Chi University in Ocala, FL, which has strict quality control procedures and testing as listed on their website https://www.tcvmherbal.com

Tui-na

Tui-na is a form of therapeutic massage that involves applying pressure to specific points on the body. It can be looked at as using one’s fingers and hands to produce effects similar to that of acupuncture. Dr. Dixon teaches daily Tui-na techniques to clients that are tailored to their pet.  Tui-na empowers clients to take part in their pet’s therapy. As pets age, the variety of appropriate activities declines.  Tui-na provides an additional quality activity for clients and their pets.

Nutrition

Based on TCVM principles, Dr. Dixon will provide nutritional guidance individually tailored to your pet’s needs based on age, personality, geographic location, season, and current disharmony or disease processes. There are rarely no side effects when food items are chosen correctly. Food therapy can be used to help any condition and is exceptionally important with cancer and gastrointestinal issues.
